The Early Learning Center provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for preschool age children of all cultural backgrounds and abilities. We believe that learning takes place primarily through exploratory play. We offer a variety of both directed and non-directed activities to encourage children to develop a strong sense of curiosity, self-esteem, and independence.

How Much Parental Involvement is Required?
The Early Learning Center is not a cooperative and therefore all parental involvement is optional. Parents are encouraged to participate in parties and events and to share their special talents or interests with the children at other times during the school year.

Weekly classroom fliers, monthly newsletters, and the parent bulletin board keep parents informed of day-to-day events. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled once a year. Additional conferences may be requested by either teacher or parent if the need arises.

Transportation
We do not provide transportation to and from classes. However, we do provide a directory of names and addresses of other children in the program so that car pools can be formed.
