The Early Learning Center provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for preschool age children of all cultural backgrounds and abilities. We believe that learning takes place primarily through exploratory play. We offer a variety of both directed and non-directed activities to encourage children to develop a strong sense of curiosity, self-esteem, and independence.

Cognitive (continued)

Motor
Children are given opportunities for walking, running, skipping, hopping, dancing, crawling, climbing, and sledding. We involve the children in a great variety of large muscle activities and games that promote development of large muscle coordination. Small motor coordination is fostered through activities which involve the use of hands (tracing, placing, cutting, pasting, printing, etc.)
